Blanket Service

An Act of Reconciliation: The Blanket Exercise comes to BSA! –

On Sunday, July 15 in lieu of a regular service, Bethel-St. Andrew’s will have 2 facilitators, arranged through KAIROS (Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives) deliver a workshop called the “Blanket Exercise”. The name derives from the use of blankets to represent the land, while participants assume the roles of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. The session will run from 10am until approximately 12:30pm in Baldwin Hall. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!

A maximum of 70 people, age 10 and up, can take part in the workshop and the cost will be covered by BSA. For those 10 and under, a program will be led by Rachael Tindale.

Please see the sign-up sheet at the back of the church or send and email to

IMPORTANT: Each participant is asked to bring a blanket of his/her own.
