Letter from Rev. Dr. Christine Johnson – May 21, 2021

Dear friends,
I had the opportunity to spend two quiet days at a cottage on Golden Lake this past week.  It was a chance to rest, read and meditate — to be at one with God in such a beautiful area.  Yes, my home is on river and it’s very nice, but just getting away from the usual routine was such a blessing.  I hope you can find ways to do the same.
We continue to pray for the families of Donna Jorgensen, Gordon Baird, and Bob Pekarchuk, three dear members we lost to death in the past month.  As a small memorial to each one of these persons, you’ll see flowers placed at the entrance to the church.  If you have a chance to drive by the church, have a look and remember these dear friends.
This Sunday is Pentecost so we got out our red and blue, to signify fire and wind, in order to celebrate this important day.  It’s considered the birthday of the Church…so Happy Birthday to us!! The link for the service is here:
SermonbyPhone can be reached by calling 613-963-0064.
Next week, the Aldis Family will be leading the worship service.  Watch for a notice from them.
I hope you’re enjoying this weather.  Take care and stay safe.
In the love and friendship of Christ,
Rev. Dr. Christine Johnson
