“ANGEL TREE time is here! Help make a Christmas wish come true for a child in our community. Our tree is at the back of the sanctuary. Please take one (or more) angels from the tree and purchase a gift appropriate for the age indicated on it. Bring your gift(s) back no later than Dec 15, unwrapped. These gifts are included in the Christmas Food Baskets delivered by our local Food Bank on Dec 20.”

For a Wintry Night, ‘A Christmas Community Candlelight Carol Sing’, Friday Dec. 20, at 7pm. Come and sing into the Christmas season. It will take place at the Oasis Church at 3794 Diamondview Rd in Kinburn. Refreshments will be served after the Sing. We would encourage the donation of a canned good for the community food cupboard when you come. The entire community is warmly invited.

Our Christmas Pageant Our Christmas pageant, entitled “We are All Shepherds”, takes place next week, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. We will have a brief practice after church on Dec. 15. If you have children in your life, or neighbourhood, please invite them to be a part of this. The pageant is designed so everyone has a part. We are also encouraging adults to choose a part and put a costume on as shepherds, sheep, or angels. If you are able, come early, about 9:15 am, to figure out what costume you’d like to wear. Following the pageant, we’ll have a potluck lunch of finger foods

Children’s Ministry – We are looking for adults to assist Mackenzie Aldis, our main Sunday School Leader. There is no planning or teaching required. The job would be to assist Mackenzie and serve as a helper. With a long enough list, we are hoping to have a rotation so that volunteers would serve about once every two months. Please sign up with Rev. Dr. Christine Johnson.

Celebrate With the Hayley Family – Dave & Nancy Hayley’s 50th wedding anniversary is quickly approaching. The family would love to see some friends from church out to say hi and wish them well as they celebrate this milestone!
