Flu shots & more available at Hub launch

People of all ages come out and learn about the services, volunteer opportunities & get protected* from the “flu.”

2 pm – 6 pm November 15 at 184 Jack Lougheed Way (Formerly Carleton St.), Fitzroy Harbour, ON K0A

2 pm – 6 pm November 17 at 262 Len Purcell Dr., Woodlawn, ON K0A 3M0

We will be giving flu shots, checking blood pressures, oxygen  saturation and glucose levels. The West Carleton Family Health Team and Community Paramedics will be there. We will be recruiting volunteers and giving information on our services. Someone will be there from the Hearing Society and Waterside Retirement Home. There will be coffee and treats!

*Note that all individuals from 6 months of age and up are advised to get their flu shot – Adults and children with chronic health conditions, healthy children between 6 months of age and 5 years,  adults over 65 years of age, and pregnant women are considered to be at particularly high risk should they become ill from influenza.
